Description
Powerful tone generator for cable tracing and connectivity testing. Includes 2 parts – a transmitter that generates a signal and transmits it along the cable and a receiver (probe) where you hear the signal. If the cable route being tested has RJ male connectors installed, you can check the connection of each wire with the cable tester. How it works:
1. Plug one end of the cable into the RJ11/RJ45 module. If there is no plug attached, clip the alligator clips onto two of the wires;
2. Move the switch to "scan" and there is now a signal on the cable;
3. Search on the other end of the cable (maximum distance is about 3km), bringing the probe closer to the wires. If the cables are in a bundle, for maximum diagnosis you will need to move them apart from one another;
