3. Communication and Server Cabinets

Communication and server cabinets are a necessary part of any standard structured cabling system. Even small office or home computer networks must include a communication cabinet. The cables installed to each workstation must end at one end with a distribution panel, which is located in a communication cabinet. This is so for the following main reasons (by no means all are listed):

Installation UTP and FTP cables are designed to terminate at both ends with a socket or distribution panel. This provides the best physical contact and, accordingly, an uncompromising connection to achieve maximum speeds;
The cables arranged and unrolled on a distribution (patch) panel allow you to number the workstations for perfect diagnosis of possible future problems;
The communication cabinet is the place where the necessary active network equipment will be placed, thus protecting it from external influences and providing it with the best possible environment (including ventilation, grounding) for its long-lasting and trouble-free operation.

Choose a communication cabinet according to your needs, supplied by LANstore.

Depending on the size of your cable network, different sized racks are available, but all are designed to accommodate standard 19-inch distribution panels, shelves, arrangement panels, and fan units. For more special needs, when such a 19-inch rack cannot be installed, 10-inch racks are available, but smaller 10-inch equipment should be purchased for them.
