Description
LAN tester with which you can find out if there is a physical connection on a UTP/STP LAN cable. When turning on the "POE" port, it shows whether there is voltage on the cable (PoE) and on which wires it is active (1,2/3,6 and 4,5/7,8). Then you can determine whether all 8 wires + shielding are connected at both ends correctly (monitor the LED lights and their order). It can test both computer RJ45 cable and telephone RJ11. It is used to check a passive network, as well as one with PoE voltage!
Requires a 9V 6F22 battery (not included).
